2027 New Music Awards Nomination Period Now Open
The New Music Awards (NMAs) have officially launched the entry period for the 2027 awards season. Known across the industry as “New Music’s Biggest Night,” the annual awards show produced by New Music Weekly celebrates excellence by honoring outstanding achievements in radio, music, independent/major artists, and radio programmers. The upcoming awards will recognize excellence in music production, radio airplay, and industry contributions spanning October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.


Nominations composed of music industry executives, programmers, fans and radio professionals will submit nomination ballots  to determine the nominees across all major categories, including Radio Station of the Year, Program Director of the Year, and Artist of the Year, among other categories.


Winners will be announced and recognized by New Music Awards in early 2027.


Participating radio stations, artists, labels, and industry professionals can submit their entries and nominations online via the official New Music Awards portal during the open eligibility window.


Submissions must be finalized by November 30th.

Gerald Harris' father bought him an acoustic guitar when he was 12 years old, and Gerald has been on a musical journey ever since. His mother taught him to play piano and sing, and in his youth, he was a part of both the youth and adult choirs. When he was 18 Carrie Records offered him an independent recording contract to record a single. After a short-lived R&B career, he went back where he belonged, to God. He's always enjoyed writing, playing, and singing gospel music, and he began doing gospel recording sessions for different choirs, artists, and producers in Nashville and Atlanta. After that, he continued to write and compose, and his wife persuaded him to go back to the studio and do a few demos. This led ultimately to his album, Latter Rain. The album "Hope Faith And Love" almost did not happen because of his bout with colon cancer, "but God brought me through it", says Gerald. Married music duo Cliff and Susan from Little Rock, Arkansas, impress global audiences with their vibrant, multi-genre performances.
