Mountain Rio have been releasing music since 2008.Mountain Rio are not a touring or performing outfit but are the vehicle UK veteran Songwriter Frank Robinson uses to release his country/country rock and progressive rock songs.

Prior to 2025 all Mountain Rio songs were recorded in Nashville by the fabulous Producer Stacy Hogan and featured his wonderful vocalist Mike Lusk along with amazing session musicians.The 2025 Christmas album 'Christmas Hoedown' featured songs produced by Stacy Hogan and sung by Mike Lusk and another Producer from the USA Daniel M and featured his excellent vocalist.

Mountain Rio's most successful piece of music to date is the 2025 Christmas album 'Christmas Hoedown' which was number one in the Airplay Direct Holiday/Christmas album chart during November and December of 2026 beating many established country artists for radio downloads.

In March 2026 Mountain Rio released the album Zydeco and Cajun Dancing which got to number one in the Alternative/Country Air Play Direct radio download chart.

Also in March Mountain Rio released the country/pop EP 'It's Summer' which is doing well for radio play and reached the number one spot in the Airplay Direct Holiday Chart.

In June 2026 a collection of old Mountain Rio songs with the headliner 'America' were put together specially for release on Airplay Direct and reached number one in the Alternative/Country radio download chart.

Gerald Harris' father bought him an acoustic guitar when he was 12 years old, and Gerald has been on a musical journey ever since. His mother taught him to play piano and sing, and in his youth, he was a part of both the youth and adult choirs. When he was 18 Carrie Records offered him an independent recording contract to record a single. After a short-lived R&B career, he went back where he belonged, to God. He's always enjoyed writing, playing, and singing gospel music, and he began doing gospel recording sessions for different choirs, artists, and producers in Nashville and Atlanta.
